**摘要二段 (Zhāiyào Dì-èr Duàn, "Picked Essentials, Section 2")** continues the [**Eight Step**](https://wulin.openmindspace.org/eight-step-mantis) signature curriculum of [**Wei Xiaotang (衛笑堂)**](https://wulin.openmindspace.org/wei-xiaotang) — **42 postures**, opening with **白虎探爪 ("white tiger probes with claws")** and running through the branch's richest store of named image-postures: 霸王拉弓, 青龍擺尾, 魁星點斗, 黑虎出洞, and closing on 白蛇攔路.

## What it trains

- **The image-posture vocabulary** — 白虎探爪, 霸王拉弓 ("the Tyrant draws the bow"), 青龍擺尾 ("green dragon swings its tail"), 魁星點斗
- **Double-hand methods** — 雙捋手, 雙幫手, 沉肘支捶
- **Kicking** — 閉門腳, 斧刃腳 ("axe-blade kick"), 撩陰腳, 蹬塌勢
- **黑虎出洞** — Wei's signature technique recurs here as posture 37

## Full posture script — 42 postures

The posture-name list as set down in the **松傳古藝武術學苑** 拳譜 (the 林松賢 / 左顯富 line, direct Wei Xiaotang disciples), reproduced under fair-use citation; the English are the wiki's own working glosses. Eight Step movement names are longer and more *descriptive* than the tight four-character Seven Star style.
