title: Hidden Flower in the Mirror (鏡裡藏花) — Six-Harmony Mantis
---

**鏡裡藏花 (Jìnglǐ Cáng Huā, "Hidden Flower in the Mirror")** is the **third core sequence** of [**Six-Harmony Praying Mantis**](https://wulin.openmindspace.org/six-harmony-mantis) (張詳三 line). The poetic name — a flower seen in a mirror, present yet untouchable — captures the branch's method of **concealment and sudden revelation**: the hidden-flower hand (藏花手) and trigger-release (撥機手), the eye-dotting strike (點睛), and the leaking circling punch (底漏圈捶).

## What it trains

- **藏花手 (hidden-flower hand)** — concealing the real attack behind a feint
- **點睛 (dot-the-eye)** and 撩陰 (rising groin) — precise small-target strikes
- **底漏 (low-leaking)** — slipping the hand underneath to circle up
- **The shared closing** — 進步跺腳 → 破膝 → 掛耳圈

## Place in the curriculum

The 張詳三 Taiwan line teaches its empty-hand art as **six core sequences (六趟)** — 鐵齒 · 善手奔 · 鏡裡藏花 · 截手圈 · 葉底藏花 · 雙封 — alongside **六合短捶** and **六合拳**. This is the third of the six. All six core sequences share the same closing run: **進步跺腳 → 破膝 → 掛耳圈**.
