Six-Harmony Short Hammer (六合短捶) — Six-Harmony Mantis
On this page
六合短捶 (Liùhé Duǎn Chuí, "Six-Harmony Short Hammer") is the branch's short-range percussive form — 50 postures of close, sudden, short-power striking that show the "hidden-hard" (暗剛) issuing of Six-Harmony Praying Mantis (張詳三 line) at its most concentrated. It is rich in named postures: 浪裡滾沙 ("rolling the sand amid the waves"), 雙風貫耳 ("double wind pierces the ears"), 猛虎擺尾 ("the fierce tiger swings its tail"), 彎弓勒馬 ("bend the bow, rein the horse").
What it trains
短 (short power) — close-range, short-travel issuing, the branch's hallmark
The elbow vocabulary — 獻肘, 盤肘, 頂心肘, 舔肘, 坐肘
Named image-postures — 浪裡滾沙, 雙風貫耳, 猛虎擺尾, 彎弓勒馬, 猴蹬鷹
鐵炮開城 (×3) — the repeated "iron cannon breaks the city-gate"

Six-Harmony movement names are descriptive and run longer than the tight four-character Seven-Star style.

Place in the curriculum
The 張詳三 Taiwan line teaches its empty-hand art as six core sequences (六趟) — 鐵齒 · 善手奔 · 鏡裡藏花 · 截手圈 · 葉底藏花 · 雙封 — alongside 六合短捶 and 六合拳. All six core sequences share the same closing run: 進步跺腳 → 破膝 → 掛耳圈.
